Radio Shack Catalog Numbers:
Female DB9 276-1538 D-sub Hood (cover) 276-1539
1/8" Stereo Plug 274-284
Wire (this is just one choice, any 3 conductor cable will work).
20 f t. 278-514 You only need about 6 feet.
Another thing you can do to build this cable is to buy a 6 foot mini-stereo cable. It has two 1/8" mini-stereo plugs, cut one end off and install a female DB9 and hood. Use one of the following connections.
Serial Cable pinout
Connector cable pinout (9 pin female RS-232 to 2.5mm stereo plug (or the size that fits your
camera) )
Only a few serial digital cameras use this connection.
DB9 pin 2 to tip
DB9 pin
3 to base
DB9 pin
5 to middle
If the above does not work use this instead:
Relisys Dimera 2000 and 3500 Uses this Connection.
Connector cable pinout (9 pin female RS-232 DB9 to 3.5mm stereo plug (1/8") )
DB9 pin
2 to tip Receive data on computer end
DB9 pin
3 to Middle Transmit data on computer end
DB9 pin
5 to Base Signal ground on computer end
I have two cameras that use this connection.
